About This Meeting
This session is a one-hour overview of to the main features of employee stock ownership plans (ESOPs). It is appropriate for people familiar with basic business and finance topics but new to ESOPs and for those responsible for ESOP communication. (See "Orientation to ESOPs" for a more basic introduction to ESOPs.) The session will cover the current status of ESOPs in the US and some highlights on their performance. Loren Rodgers of the NCEO will use graphics, examples, and simple explanations to provide a general introduction to the features common to all ESOPs. NOTE: Every ESOP is different. This session does not attempt to teach people the specifics of how any particular ESOP works.Program
