Equity Compensation Trends
About This Meeting
An effective equity compensation program helps to align the interests of the employees with the strategic interests of the corporation. These programs often present challenges in their attempt to optimize benefits to employees. Over the past five years, economic challenges have caused changes in accounting rules, tax regulations, and corporate governance standards have created a shift in equity compensation strategies. Companies of all sizes are changing their plan design to grant a variety of equity vehicles such as stock options, restricted stock and units, performance shares, and long- term cash incentive awards. This session will explore emerging trends in equity compensation for executives and broad-based employees. We will also examine the shift in granting practices, and critical financial items CFO's should consider when determining your program. Special attention will be paid to options, restricted stock, and pay for performance in light of the increased focus on risk.
Attendees will leave this session with a firm understanding about the shift in granting trends. You will also understand why these trends have taken place, how it impacts your company, and gain valuable insight into the best approach to their company's equity compensation program.
