About the Members Area

The members area provides additional resources for our thousands of members. Every member (i.e., the person in the organization to which our newsletter is addressed) is given a username and password. If you already have your username and password, click here to enter the members area. From time to time, we expand the resources in the members area; here is what we have presently:

Referral Service

Our Referral Service, formerly given out as a printed Resource Guide, is a fully searchable database of well over 200 consultants and firms of all types. We also provide extensive advice in the members area on choosing consultants.

Stock Plan Glossary

This Web-based glossary includes a multitude of terms relating to both employee stock ownership plans (ESOPs) and related plans, and to individual equity plans such as stock options.

Searchable Newsletter Archive

We archive our newsletters online in PDF (Adobe Acrobat) format. Members can read the current newsletter as soon as it is available and look up past issues at any time. Other people in a member's office can simply view the newsletter online instead of waiting for it to be passed around to them. Additionally, you can search the newsletter archive by keyword.

Status Update on Legislative and Regulatory Developments

We provide a continuously updated report on the status of major regulatory and legislative developments affecting employee ownership.

The Employee Owners' Page

We have archived our "Employee Owners' Page" columns from the newsletter. These are suitable for printing and handing out to employees.

Case Studies

We have classified several years' worth of case studies by date, type of plan, company size, and type of business, and placed them online in PDF format. This allows companies and consultants to easily locate and print a case study of how an ESOP or stock option plan has worked in a given industry, etc.

Discussion Forum

Our discussion forum gives members a place to address their questions, experiences, and concerns.

New Member Orientation

The orientation page is a guide to resources, opportunities, and benefits for members.

Administrative Matters

Members can change their passwords at any time. We encourage members to invite others at their membership entity to view the member area (if you are a consulting firm in this area, others in your office are included in the membership; if you are a company using or considering employee ownership, others in your company are included in the membership). However, members may wish to avoid giving coworkers their own username and password, because, for example, someone may change the password (not thinking of the consequences) and not tell others, thus locking them out. There are instructions on the home page of the members area for obtaining additional usernames together with passwords that cannot be changed.
