In addition to our online and print materials, the NCEO offers customized research services on all aspects of employee ownership. The NCEO's research services include employee surveys, our executive compensation database, and original research performed for project sponsors.
The NCEO offers the only commercially available employee survey specific to companies with employee ownership and equity compensation. The NCEO will provide all you need, from ready-to-use survey items and benchmarking data to online questionnaires and comprehensive analysis of the results.
ESOP companies often have different structures for executive compensation than non-ESOP companies, and the NCEO offers an easy way to see how you compare with companies like your own. For example, you may wish to look just at manufacturing companies, just companies with under 500 employees, or just companies with a 100% ESOP.
The NCEO maintains extensive lists of employee ownership and equity compensation companies and can provide targeted case studies and company lists by industry, size, or region. For companies interested in answering specific questions about organizational behavior in ESOP companies (e.g., are employees with high levels of ESOP understanding more likely to feel entrepreneurial?), the NCEO can perform research on our database of employee attitudes.
The NCEO can perform reviews of academic and popular literature on employee ownership.
Companies or individuals interested in commissioning original research can work with the NCEO. The NCEO does some research in-house and teams with academics in appropriate fields for other types of research. Original research can cover nearly any topic related to employee ownership and equity compensation, although we do not perform research connected with evaluating a particular product or service. The NCEO also maintains a list of public interest research projects that require sponsorship before we can pursue them.

For other types of research, the NCEO generally charges our standard consulting rate (contact us for details). For larger research projects, a flat project fee may be set by mutual agreement.
