NCEO founder and senior staff member

The mayors of four major Southern cities wrote an open letter to the Democratic candidates for president titled A Roadmap for Winning the South. The letter asks for the candidates' positions on a number of areas, and specifically requests that each candidate provide the details of his or her “plan to dramatically expand the Small Business Administration’s commitment to employee-owned, minority-owned, and women-owned businesses across the Administration’s lending and investment programs.”

The open letter signatories are Steve Benjamin (Columbia, South Carolina), LaToya Cantrell (New Orleans, Louisiana), Chokwe Antar Lumumba (Jackson, Mississippi), and Randall Woodfin (Birmingham, Alabama).
