Fall ESOP Forum

AttendeesThrough interactive small groups led by NCEO staff and a representative from an employee-owned company, this session will examine how ownership culture drives strategic advantage. We will discuss how to tell your ownership story and why it matters, giving you ideas about how to use your story and how to market to vendors, customers, and other external stakeholders as well as make ownership real for you and your coworkers.

The preconference session is free for attendees at the main conference (120 registrants maximum capacity). As of September 1, the preconference is sold out, but when registering you may request to be placed on the wait list in case there are cancellations. Those who wish to attend just the preconference may register for $50 ($75 for nonmembers) by calling NCEO Seminar and Webinar Director Colleen Kearney (510-208-1311).

The session will cover examples from successful companies and chances to discuss stories and best practices with people from other ESOP companies.

Building on the stories and brands of employee-owned companies, the session will also talk about how to build a committed team of owners who can become brand ambassadors for your company. The fact that your company is employee-owned can, according to market research, contribute to a powerful first impression. In companies where employees think and act like owners, coaching about steps to the company brand can help all employees know what they need to do to improve customer loyalty and satisfaction.

Get answersYou will come to Tampa with some goals in mind. You may have decisions to make, or you may have some tasks you want to know how to accomplish. The presentations will not only help you find answers, they will raise more questions you should be asking yourself. The Fall ESOP Forum gives you a variety of ways to get those questions answered. You can sign up for one-on-one appointments so you can have a private conversation about your company's situation. Roundtable discussions will each have a topic, so you can join a group of people plus an experienced expert who will have a give-and-take discussion. And the wine and cheese reception and the coffee breaks are good chances for informal networking where you can hear stories and real-life lessons from all attendees.

Nationally Recognized ESOP Experts

Nearly 50 presenters from around the United States will present during the Fall ESOP Forum. Speakers include outside administrators who have hands-on experience with scores of plans, ESOP "quarterbacks" who have coached many clients through first- and second-stage transactions, lawyers with experience in DOL investigations, appraisers with clients across many industries, professional trustees who focus exclusively on ESOPs, lenders and other investors, experts in compensation programs designed to fit with ESOPs, and some of the popular speakers from the NCEO staff.

The faculty also includes representatives from ESOP companies, who will share their real-world lessons in how to make employee ownership all it can be. The expert presenters at the Fall ESOP Forum have high speaker ratings from other NCEO events, and they are committed to teaching, not delivering a sales pitch.
