informed decisions about how to move the company forward. This presentation looks at
the best ways to do that.
The Great Game of Business
Patrick is a VP at The Great Game of Business, a division of SRC Holdings, a 100% employee-owned company known as the "birthplace of open-book management." Previously, he co-owned a $12 million medical distribution and manufacturing company and has worked with and for large companies such as McKesson, Johnson & Johnson, TYCO, 3M, Novartis, and Case New Holland. Patrick's mother, the late Jill Carpenter, co-wrote two books on open-book management and worked with SRC in the same capacity as Patrick's current role.

Dallan is the director of workplace development at the NCEO. He works closely with employee-owned companies to more effectively engage employees on how to improve their businesses and assess the quality of their cultures. He helps companies develop and administer employee surveys to assess the strengths and weakness of each company's culture or create more effective improvement strategies so that they may continue taking full advantage of employee ownership. He is also an active contributor to NCEO meetings, publications, and webinars.
