About This Meeting

The way your company first presents its ESOP to employees sets the tone -- it is your best chance to build enthusiasm, cultivate realistic expectations, and pre-empt rumors. This Webinar will help you design and deliver an effective ESOP rollout, including the pre-meeting communication, ways to involve middle managers and non-managers, ideas about different communications mediums, suggestions for what content to cover and what content not to cover, and guidelines for picking the right people to deliver different parts of the ESOP message. As in other NCEO Webinars, presentations will include both the big-picture perspective of a communications professional and the insights of a company insider.

National Center for Employee Ownership

Corey founded the National Center for Employee Ownership in 1981 after working five years as a professional staff member in the U.S. Senate, where he helped draft legislation on employee ownership plans. Prior to that, he taught political science at Ripon College. He is the author or co-author of over 100 articles and numerous books on employee ownership. He has a PhD in political science from Cornell University. He currently serves on a number of ESOP company boards.

Kelly Solberg is a communication consultant in retirement and investor services of The Principal Financial Group® (The Principal®). She has been assisting plan sponsors with ESOP education and communication for five years. Kelly specializes in creating customized communication strategies using clear and concise language, and exciting layouts to explain ESOP benefits to participants.
