The NCEO is approved to offer Continuing Education Credits for CPE, SHRM and IRS (ERPA) (for select webinars). Registration is required to receive continuing education credit.
Types of Continuing Education Credit
The NCEO is registered with the National Association of State Boards of Accountancy (NASBA) as a sponsor of continuing professional education on the National Registry of CPE Sponsors. State boards of accountancy have final authority on the acceptance of individual courses for CPE credit.
Our webinars are a "Group-Internet Based" offering and provide one hour of CPE credit for accountants in the area of "specialized knowledge." No prerequisites or advanced preparation is needed. For more information about certification or recertification, please visit National Registry of CPE Sponsors through its website: www.nasbaregistry.org.
The NCEO is registered with the IRS as an approved provider of continuing education credit. Webinars provide one hour of IRS credit for Enrolled Retirement Plan Agents (ERPA). Programs listed in other areas of our web site are not approved for continuing education credit for Enrolled Retirement Plan Agents. Attendees must provide a PTIN when logging into the webinar to obtain credit. Continuing education credit is not mandatory for tax return preparers.
The NCEO is recognized by the Society for Human Resource Management (SHRM) to offer Professional Development Credits (PDCs) for SHRM-CP or SHRM-SP. Webinars are approved for one PDC. For more information about certification or recertification, please visit www.shrmcertification.org/certification.
