The Innovations in Employee Ownership Award

Innovations in Ownership Award

Sponsored by TEOCO, of Fairfax, Virginia, The Innovations in Employee Ownership Award, administered by the NCEO and the Beyster Institute at the Rady School of Business, UC San Diego, is designed to recognize employee-owned companies that have demonstrated a commitment to promoting employee ownership and innovation in their workplaces. To be considered for an award, applications must be received by March 2, 2018. Award winners receive one complimentary registration to the conference and are honored at the awards ceremony held at lunch on Wednesday, April 18, during the conference. The Award winners will be notified by March 20, 2018.

Employee Ownership Film Contest: The Power of Employee Ownership

This second annual contest gives employee-owned companies a chance to creatively communicate what employee ownership means to their company, their employee-owners, consumers, and community. See www.nceo.org/r/filmcontest for the details on how to enter, what formats are accepted, length, etc. The winning videos will be screened at the conference, prizes will include a free conference registration for each winning film, and more! Complimentary One-on-One Consultations

Consulting
Take advantage of personalized consulting sessions offered during the conference. Knowledgeable experts in employee ownership will answer specific questions regarding your employee ownership program, whether it's just starting out or well-established. Sign up early during the conference, appointments fill up quickly. Three appointment sessions will be offered, Thursday, April 19, in the morning and in the late afternoon and Friday, April 20, in the early morning.

Informal networking opportunities abound during the conference, but several not-to-miss events are: The Meet and Greet, no-host bar with snacks, sponsored by MB Financial Bank, on Tuesday, April 17, from 5:15-7:15 pm in Imperial A; the Conference Opening Cocktail Reception (hosted by over 80 sponsors, including a special drink sponsored by Swerdlin & Company and hors d'oeuvres sponsored by Krieg DeVault LLP, plus entertainment sponsored by Eureka Casinos on Wednesday, April 18, from 5:15 to 7:30 in the exhibit area; and the Expert-Led Roundtable Luncheon on Thursday, April 19, in the Marquis Ballroom. There are also two afternoon break mingles and two mornings of breakfast discussion roundtables, and an off-site networking event taking place on Thursday April 19, sponsored by RSM (advance signup required; see the sidebar of this page for more information).

Exhibit areaIn the exhibit area, you can speak directly with leading vendors and professional service providers who understand the employee ownership field and have the appropriate background to answer your questions. This year, not only will the NCEO host an exhibitor game with a prize drawing buy you will have the opportunity to enter host raffles and prize drawings sponsored by exhibitors. Each attendee will receive a card to enter the NCEO game as well as a list of prize giveaways being offered. Next to the exhibit hall in the registration area, you can visit the networking and relaxing lounge, located in the Marquis level exhibit area, and rest your feet and meet and mingle (sponsored by EKS&H).

In each conference tote bag, attendees will find a complimentary NCEO book created just for this conference which includes sample chapters on a variety of subjects related to employee-ownership, sponsored by GreatBanc Trust Company. Additionally, NCEO books will be sold at our book sales table, in the Marquis level Foyer, during the entire conference.
