Take a Tour of a Wawa Store

On November 13, Business Insider took its readers on a virtual tour of Wawa, an employee-owned convenience store chain. The tour includes pictures of employees and customers and quotes employees talking about why being employee-owned matters to them. (At the time this was posted, the Business Insider article referred to "stock options," but Wawa instead has an ESOP that owns 40% of the company.) Those who attended the NCEO's Fall ESOP Forum in Tampa heard Dan Peterson and Todd Souders from Wawa share some of the ways a company with more than 30,000 employees in 768 stores makes employee ownership real.
