Continuing Education Credit
The NCEO is approved to offer Continuing Education Credits for CPE, SHRM and occasionally IRS (ERPA).
The NCEO is registered with the National Association of State Boards of Accountancy (NASBA) as a sponsor of continuing professional education on the National Registry of CPE Sponsors. State boards of accountancy have final authority on the acceptance of individual courses for CPE credit.
This program is a "Group-Internet Based" offering and provides 1.00 hour of CPE credit for accountants in the area of "specialized knowledge." No prerequisites or advanced preparation is needed. The NCEO is registered with the IRS as an approved provider of continuing education credit. Webinars provide 1 hour of IRS credit for Enrolled Retirement Plan Agents (ERPA). Programs listed in other areas of our Web site are not approved for continuing education credit for Enrolled Retirement Plan Agents. Attendees must provide a PTIN when logging into the webinar to obtain IRS CE credit. Continuing education credit is not mandatory for tax return preparers.
The NCEO is recognized by Society for Human Resource Management (SHRM) to offer Professional Development Credits (PDCs) for SHRM-CP or SHRM-SP. Webinars are approved for 1.00 PDC. For more information about certification or recertification, please visit www.shrm.org/certification.
To qualify for continuing education credit for our Group-Internet Based webinars, participants must:
- be an NCEO member
- register in advance
- be logged into the webinar under their own name
- respond to all the polling questions during the live webinar
- indicate the type of certificate you are requesting
Upon confirmation of your participation and eligibility, you will be emailed your certificate in a PDF file within two weeks.
