Working Together to Improve Your ESOP's Financial Operations
The ESOP Finance Working Group started as a small group of members that met at the 2021 Employee Ownership Conference. As time went on, this group evolved away from solely forecasting and discussed a broad range of finance-related issues facing ESOP companies.
Based on the hard work and wise input from the initial members of this group, we’re proud to announce the first public meeting of the ESOP Finance Working Group, which will take place this January.
The ESOP Finance Working Group is a small group of financial professionals from NCEO member companies, including people serving as CFOs, controllers, and similar roles. Group members participate in periodic in-depth discussions about tools, ideas, advisors, and governance; their goal is to do mutual problem-solving and to produce resources to share among themselves and with NCEO members at large.
Each meeting focuses on driving the employee-owned community forward by integrating finance into all areas of an organization's culture. The group will determine its agendas in collaboration with NCEO staff. Over time, we expect to discuss repurchase obligations, managing cash and capital structure, the financial aspects of strategic planning, and targeted benefit levels.
