Behind the Scenes- Understanding Your TPA's Year-End Process

Webinars

Continuing Education Credit Offered For Live Session Only: Generic, ASPPA, CPE

As a trusted ESOP service provider, your credibility depends on seamless coordination with the TPA. But when year-end data requests start rolling in, do you know what's driving those requirements—and how your input impacts the entire valuation and administration cycle?
This session gives you an insider's perspective on the TPA's year-end process. You'll understand exactly how census data flows into compliance testing, how trust accounting reconciles with share allocations, and where most service provider handoffs go wrong. More importantly, you'll learn how to position yourself as the kind of partner TPAs actually want to work with—the one who delivers clean data on time and catches issues before they escalate. When you understand what your TPA partners need and why, you become indispensable. This is your opportunity to deepen those relationships and elevate how your entire service team collaborates.

Learning objectives:

  • Deliver census information that's right the first time—understanding which ESOP-specific data points drive accurate allocations and compliance
  • Speak intelligently about trust reconciliation with trustees and plan sponsors, bridging the gap between bank statements and participant accounts
  • Review annual administration reports with a critical eye, strengthening your role as a quality control checkpoint in the service provider ecosystem
