Former DOL Assistant Secretary Joins EOX Board

Lisa M. Gomez, who recently served as the assistant secretary for employee benefits security at the Department of Labor, has joined the Employee Ownership Expansion Network (EOX)'s board of directors.

Gomez, who served with the DOL from 2022 to 2025, appeared on the main stage at our 2024 Annual Conference in Tampa, FL, where EOX Executive Director Steve Storkan interviewed her about her experience protecting worker benefits and retirement, her enthusiasm for employee ownership, and what the government's role is or can be in fostering a more supportive environment for ESOPs.
