Women in Employee Ownership Peer Network
Connect Authentically. Grow Together.
Lead Intentionally. Champion Employee Ownership.
The NCEO Women in Employee Ownership Peer Network connects women across the community: from leaders and employee-owners at EO companies to the professional advisors who champion them. Through expert speakers, peer discussion, and both virtual and in-person connection, this network empowers women to grow professionally, share their experiences, and amplify their impact in the employee ownership field.
Structure of the Peer Network
The Women in EO Peer Network meets every other month, alternating between virtual sessions and in-person gatherings at NCEO signature events.
Virtual meetings will feature an educational speaker on a topic relevant to women in employee ownership, followed by an open peer discussion or small-group breakouts.
In-person sessions at the NCEO Annual Conference, the Forum and Women’s Summit events offer deeper connection and community.
Key topics include:
- Women’s Leadership in EO: Navigating leadership opportunities and challenges, building influence, and overcoming barriers
- Career Development & Advancement: Mentorship, negotiation, promotion, and visibility strategies
- Financial Literacy & EO Ownership: Understanding ESOP mechanics, valuation, stock value, repurchase obligations
- Governance & Board Service: Serving on EO boards, fiduciary roles, and advocating for inclusive governance
- Ownership Culture & Communication: Championing employee ownership culture, open-book practices, storytelling
- Well-being & Sustainable Leadership: Preventing burnout, setting boundaries, resilience, and work-life integration
Intended Audience
This peer network is open to women across the full employee ownership community, including:
- Leaders, managers, employee-owners, and EO advocates at employee-owned companies
- Professional advisors serving employee-owned companies (attorneys, trustees, valuation experts, TPAs, lenders, accountants, consultants, and more)
- Allies and champions committed to advancing women’s voices in employee ownership
No matter where you are in your career journey — emerging leader or seasoned executive — there is a place for you here. Active NCEO membership is required to participate.
