Touchdown for Employee Ownership

Jaymie Oviedo
Senior Director of Events

One month ago, 1,650 employee-owners and 50 considering employee ownership for their business all descended on Kansas City, Missouri, for the 41st NCEO Annual Conference. We welcomed 880+ first-time attendees to the event. We also saw 130 members join us online.

We learned and shared tangible solutions to recruit and retain hardworking employee-owners and how to sustain businesses for decades to come. Culture and engagement are hard work, but they are the lifeblood of what makes ESOP companies outperform non-ESOP companies. Celebrating wins both as a company and as a team is a valuable opportunity to be seized. Small-group learning and peer collaboration were big takeaways from the 2023 conference. NCEO members also proved that the demand for educational content is high!

“Aside from the knowledge that I gained, the conference reminded me that the ESOP community is gracious and collaborative.” —2023 conference attendee
