The National Center for Employee Ownership (NCEO) is seeking an Education Assistant to serve as the operational backbone of the organization's growing portfolio of digital education programs. This role is responsible for the day-to-day production and coordination of webinars, peer networking, crash courses, community conversations, and other virtual learning experiences that connect members with practical education and one another.
Working closely with the Education, Marketing, Growth and Member Engagement, Events, and Finance teams, the Education Assistant ensures that programs are well organized, professionally delivered, and continuously improved. This is an ideal position for someone who enjoys coordinating multiple projects, building relationships with speakers and members, using technology to create seamless virtual experiences, and contributing to an organization dedicated to advancing employee ownership.

We continue to expand our educational offerings and member services as we grow our impact across the employee ownership community.
This position plays a key role in delivering high-quality educational experiences that strengthen member engagement, support professional development, and reinforce the NCEO's position as the leading nonprofit resource for employee ownership education.
Key job duties
- Coordinate and produce the NCEO's virtual education programs, including webinars, peer networking, community conversations, and crash courses from planning through post-event follow-up.
- Manage webinar logistics, speaker communications, registrations, technology platforms, and live event support to ensure a seamless participant experience.
- Collaborate with Marketing, Growth and Member Engagement, Events, and Finance teams to promote programs, coordinate schedules, and support organizational initiatives.
- Maintain educational content, website resources, registration pages, and on-demand webinar libraries to ensure materials remain current and accessible.
- Build and maintain relationships with members, speakers, sponsors, and volunteers while coordinating speaker recruitment, communications, and administrative processes.
- Track program performance by monitoring attendance, engagement, participant feedback, and other key metrics, providing recommendations for continuous improvement.
- Prepare reports, dashboards, and records related to educational programming, continuing education credits, and participant engagement.
- Support conference planning, cross-departmental projects, and other organizational activities while contributing to the ongoing growth and success of the NCEO's education programs.

- One or more years of experience in administrative support, communications, project coordination, event planning, education, marketing, or a related field.
- Outstanding organizational and project management skills with the ability to coordinate multiple programs simultaneously.
- Experience supporting webinars, virtual meetings, online education, or events.
- Excellent customer service and relationship-building skills when working with members, speakers, volunteers, and partners.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Comfort learning and using a variety of technology platforms and software applications.
- Excellent attention to detail and a commitment to delivering a consistently high-quality participant experience.
- A collaborative work style and willingness to support colleagues across departments.
- An interest in nonprofit organizations, education, professional development, or employee ownership.
Compensation and benefits
The compensation for this position consists of base pay and variable income pay.
Base salary: Approximately $78,000 annually.
Variable pay: The size of the variable pay is determined by the performance of the organization and cannot be guaranteed in advance; however, our target annual variable compensation is approximately $8,000–$10,000
