Ownership Culture Insights: Promoting a Psychologically Safe Workplace

A few weeks ago, at the NCEO’s 2023 Fall Forum, I had the chance to attend my former colleague Dallan Guzinski’s session entitled “Eliminating Fear and Insecurity in Your Organization: Leadership Strategies for Improving the Lives of Workers In and Out of the Workplace.” In this post-COVID-19 age, when the worker experience is at the forefront of people’s minds, I could see no topic more apropos for discussion. Dallan is uniquely positioned to speak on this subject—not only did he serve as the director of culture and engagement at the NCEO for over 10 years (and, in doing so, become an expert in what characterizes a positive worker experience), but he also grew up listening to his own father, a union glazier, talk about work at the family dinner table
